Renault Announces Massive Investment for Portugal

French car manufacturer Renault has announced a 150 million euro investment in Portugal.
 
The news was made official at the Aveiro assembly plant in Cacia, which will see its capacity grow considerably, while its staff contingent will be increased by 150 from the current total of 1,200.

Aveiro is currently considered by Renault as the best factory in the world when it comes to producing gear boxes, which is the plant’s biggest export.

The transmissions will be sent to assembly lines on four different continents.
Renault is also the best-selling car manufacturer in Portugal, a title which it has held since before the turn of the millennium.
