Portugal - Fifty Hotels Set to Open This Year
Estimates are that 50 new hotels are set to open their doors to guests during the course of the current year in Portugal.
This follows on from 2017, when 44 hotels welcomed visitors for the first time.
According to consultants Worx, Lisbon will accommodate the lion’s share of these new hotels, accounting for 47 percent of the hotel.
Porto follows the capital, with 21 percent on the share.
Four-star hotels were the most popular new venues in 2017, with half of all openings, while five-star units represented a fifth of the total.
