Google to Open Android Development Unit in Portugal

Google has announced it will be opening a unit in Portugal for the development and the creation of the Android operating system.
Speaking during a meeting with Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa in Silicon Valley, Google Vice President Kent Walker said the company was now looking to hire 1,000 people to assist it with the new project.
Google recently opened a hub just outside Lisbon that currently employs 500 workers.
